This 2025 Mercedes-Benz E450 came to us looking for maximum protection without sacrificing that new-car shine. We combined a premium ceramic coating with paint protection film to create a multi-layered defense system against New England's harsh winters and road debris.
We started with a thorough decontamination wash to remove any bonded contaminants from the transport and dealer prep. The paint was then clay barred and polished to ensure a flawless base before ceramic coating application. This prep work is critical - skipping it leads to imperfections locked under the coating.
For the ceramic coating, we applied a premium 9H hardness formula to all painted surfaces except those covered by PPF. The high-temperature curing process creates a chemical bond with the clear coat, providing exceptional water beading and UV protection for years to come.
We then installed paint protection film on high-impact zones: the full hood, front fenders, bumper, and mirror caps. These areas take the most abuse from road salt and flying debris - especially important in New England. The PPF application required precise cutting and squeegee work to ensure seamless edges and long-term adhesion.
Finally, we applied a ceramic coating topcoat over the PPF to maximize water shedding and maintain a consistent finish across the entire vehicle.
2025 Mercedes E-Class
The results speak for themselves. The E450 now has a deep, reflective gloss that makes the pearl paint pop. Water beads and rolls off instantly, eliminating water spots and reducing mineral buildup - a huge advantage during New England winters when road salt and grime accumulate quickly.
The owner gets years of protection without the maintenance headaches. The ceramic coating handles light scratches and swirl marks, while the PPF absorbs impacts that would otherwise chip through to the base coat. This is the kind of preventative work that keeps a luxury vehicle looking showroom-fresh.
New England's climate is brutal on paint. Road salt, freeze-thaw cycles, and prolonged UV exposure during summer all contribute to premature oxidation and clear coat failure. Ceramic coating and paint protection film address both concerns - the coating provides chemical resistance and hydrophobic properties, while PPF absorbs physical impacts and UV damage.
We've completed this combination on dozens of luxury vehicles in the region, from daily drivers to weekend showpieces. It's become the gold standard for owners who want protection without repainting. The upfront investment saves thousands in future touch-ups and maintains resale value.
For a 2025 Mercedes-Benz, applying these protective layers early is smart thinking. You're preserving the investment while the paint is still at its best, and you're avoiding years of harsh New England weather degradation.
